So although I thought about my blog a lot, somehow I didn't get a chance to sit down and actually write a post last week.
Last weekend I drove from Trail to Calgary with my little man. What do you pack for your road trips?
Before I left, I had baked some Skinny Monkey Cookies, and Breakfast Cookies, as well as grabbed some energy orbs from The Alpine Grind. I packed those along with some fresh fruit and water bottles for the ride, and for snacks on the weekend. Since going wheat free I have pretty much eliminated my ability to eat at fast food restaurants (for the better I may add), so I need to pack most of my food with me.
Do you eat out of boredom while driving? On a long drive without another adult to talk to and children's French rhymes playing about 80% of the time, I went back to a bad habit of eating. Thankfully the food I had packed for the drive there were healthful, but on the drive back I had nothing home made, and didn't plan well for good snacks for myself.
Just curious to see what your go-to's are for road trips! Do you try to make your snacks healthful or are your go-to's more like "vacation food" such as chips and chocolate bars?
